I Will Totally Not Give You Salmonella
Today, I went to a brunch with the twelve Peace Corps volunteers in Grenada and a med student. It was pretty hilarious as Kristin and I brought deviled eggs, which is a funny thing to do considering the hour long bus ride through the steaming hot jungle. The eggs turned out to be not salmonella-y at all and we were met with a thermos full of Mimosa, totally melted Reeses Peanut Butter Cup Eggs and tons of other makeshift American brunch delights. We played some Cranium and then it started raining. Clearly, it was time to hit the beach. So, we divided into smaller groups and a few hours later all met up at the beach. As it was raining and cloudy, there was to be no sun-bathing. Obviously, time for highly competitive games that could keep everyone fully submerged in the Caribbean Sea. We played Marco Polo and freeze tag through the clouds, in the rain, in the water with unlimited space, no pesky parameters like the sides of the pool or dock or swimming area. Most people probably don't know this about me, but I am at my absolute best during games of highly competitive Sharks and Minnows. Add the additional challenges of playing in the saltwater sea and (kapow!) my dream day. And to end it all on a high note . . . GUAVA SMOOTHIES! Smoothie-aholics holla and meet your new best friend . . . Guava.
