Serious Pirate Party

Swedes rule. A political party has been set up in Sweden that plans to participate in national elections. It is called Piratpartiet and its plans include removal of all immaterial rights, including copyrights and patents. The "Pirate Party" also hopes to stop Sweden's participation in international copyright organizations, such as the WTO. They even want to make it illegal to put any restrictions on distribution of digital content.

Another small item on the agenda of the "Pirate Party" is to push to make it illegal to track or monitor citizens' communications online and offline.
