George Clooney and Mother Nature Are BFF!

The film, Syriana has gone "climate neutral." Now, this is really something. Climate neutrality in this instance is accomplished by offsetting 100% of carbon dioxide emissions generated by the production of the film in its entirety! An estimated 2,040 tons have been offset through investments made in renewable energy. Native Energy helped the film's producers, Participant Productions, calculate all carbon dioxide emissions from all of Syriana's production activities. Syriana's producers are atoning for filming, air travel, rental car and truck emissions, hotel energy use, diesel generators used on location, office and warehouse energy use, and emissions from shipping! Once they deciphered the amount of energy used during all of these activities the producers then purchased renewable energy credits from renewable energy projects to achieve this climate neutrality.
